Sewing Group -  Men Welcome!

When Life Throws You Scraps, Make A Quilt

Veni, Vidi, Velcro - I Came, I Saw, I Stuck Around

This thimble-nimble group meets on Fridays at 1:30 pm. Check

the Community Calendar Page to see where the next meeting

will be  held. We have been paused since the pandemic, but hope resume our meetings soon.

Myths About Sewing:

1. You have to sew.

Actually, very few sew. There is knitting, crocheting, spool

knitting, quilting, and all manner of crafts going on. Once,

someone brought an entire tennis court net, unrolled it

across the floor of Mary Willy's living room, and proceeded to

repair holes made by local wildlife! Tinker Toy, Lincoln Log,

Erector Set & Legos projects are also welcome.

2. Sewing is just a venue for gossip.

There is no gossip at Sewing. True, some people do come to

kibbitz. Kibbitzing is a fine art form of relevant discussion, well

mastered by the Sewing group.

3. Only women are invited.

No way. On any given Friday meeting, you might just find a man

in attendance. "Real Men" do come to Sewing
